Obituary for Joseph Seborowski Sr

Joseph M. Seborowski, Sr. of Langhorne, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at St. Mary Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Menichella) and her two children Danielle Walter Portone (Eric) and Francis Walter. Joe and his late wife Ann (Chlebda) raised three children, William Derer (Suzanna), Joseph M. Jr (Mary Kate), and Michael. He has two grandchildren, Gannon Derer, and Kelsey Ann Seborowski. Joe has two sisters, Barbara Bradfield (Matt Snow) and Marianne Seborowski McGinnis (Mike), cousins John Jachinowicz (Isabelle) and MaryEllen Blady (John). He loved nothing more than being a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Joe was a proud alumni of St. Joseph’s Prep, Drexel University, where he received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, and Villanova University, where he received his Masters in Engineering. He would go on to use the skills he gained at these institutions as an engineer with the federal government, working on various projects across Philadelphia.
Outside of work, his true passion was being a dedicated member of the Trevose Fire Company, where he actively served for 62 years. During that time he served in many capacities, including Fire Chief, the longest serving President, and also as Treasurer of the Local Emergency Planning Committee in Bucks County (LEPC). In addition, Joe volunteered much of his time with the Boy Scouts, serving in various positions for Troop 82 in Penndel. Joe and Kathleen had the honor to serve the Poor Clare Sisters by driving them to appointments.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20th at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, located at 225 Bellevue Ave, Penndel, PA. The visitation will take place from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment will be held privately at a later time.
