About us |
|
Trevose Fire Company is an all-volunteer fire department located in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. We provide service to western Bensalem Township and part of Lower Southampton Township from our two stations. Our overall membership numbers about 125 with about fifty-five men and women considered part of our active firefighting force.
At our main station, we house two engines, a heavy rescue truck, a special service unit and a canteen, while at our satellite fire station on Bristol Road, we operate one engine (equipped with rescue equipment) and a special service unit that doubles an air cascade and spill control equipment unit.
Training and Fire Prevention are also two areas that our members are actively engaged in. During the past year of 2005, members amassed over 3950 man-hours in training. As a company we averaged about 425 runs a years; however in 2004 we were called out 480 times.
Trevose Fire Company has two programs that we feel will help out in our response to the community‚s call for help: a duty crew night and a bunk-in program where members are able to spend an overnight at either station.
